and strange shapes. This image of cats on the steps of a vivid dilapidated building in
Greece, is full of rhythm, the cats bodies tumbling down echoing the shapes found in the
old plaster. The strong background colours act as a camouflage for the cats, making the
painting more about abstract shapes than about imagery.
